Crystals guide for a traveling Witch

Hello every one! This is a post that I really wanted to write. It’s a post about whet crystals to take with you when you are long distance traveling. It is just a list of the crystals I chose to take with me, I’m pretty sure there is other crystals that might me really useful! If you want to add them after the post, please do! :)
Crystals:
It’s really easy to conceal your crystals when you travel and I am wearing some of them as well.
- Citrine: Brings protection and joy. Anti-nightmares
- Petrified Wood: protection, healing
- Jade: Luck. I’ll need it during my trip!
- Tiger eye: Protection, Courage, Energy, Luck. This is a really important stone for me, that’s why I chose a ring because I want to wear so I can see it all the time!
- Rose Quartz: self love and forgiveness. I found this pendant in a parisian crystal shop and I was really attracted by it’s pyramidal shape and soothing color. I wear it all the time as a reminder to love myself and not be too harsh on myself.
- Labradorite: protection against negativity and misfortune. Labradorite is a really powerful protector. I found this pendant in a shop in Edinburgh, and I love the colours of the gem, it really reminds me the northern lights.
- Green Marble: success, protection against misfortune. This is a Scottish green marble: a speciality in Edinburgh, there is lots of wonderful jewellery made with it.

My trip:
In 4 days I’ll leave the comfort of my home to walk 800km down South of France for 40 days. It’s a really interesting experience to leave all comfort behind and have all my belonging in my small 40L rucksack. I’ve done it many times when I have a kid, a teen and a young adult but it’s been 7 years that I haven’t hiked and I have never hiked such a long distance. I’m a bit anxious but terribly excited! (in a good way!!)
As you may have guessed in this case, weight is the main issue so I wanted to have the “lightest protection” possible. I am a witcheling and I have never done any spell jars, I chose to bring some crystals with me because this what resonate the most with my sensibility. I wanted to bring my tarot deck with me but it is too heavy (yes 350gr is a lot when you have to carry everything) so I’ll use an app from my phone instead: not ideal but I’ll do for the trip!
In the end, I wanted to have some protection against misfortune but I also wanted to have more courage. I know there will be days where I’m going to be fed up and want to go back home but I want to get through those days and just enjoy my trip.
That’s all folks! Enjoy your summer!
I still don't know what I'm wearing to the living room New Years Eve... I might not even go.

I get auditory hallucinations when I start falling asleep (no idea why, I just do). usually it's mundane, or sometimes very annoying noises that wake me up, most common are mumbled conversation in a Café and the sounds of power tools on a construction site.
but just now instead, as I was trying to fall asleep, I heard a like... old man voice say "I am casting my most powerful Tuna Spells" and honestly my brain might be haunted by a wizard
take 2 of trying to fall asleep, same old man voice said: "I can form conjurations beyond your wildest imaginations" and then Party Rock Anthem started playing so loud I got jump scared
i think a lot of this “christmas is pagan” discourse that re-occurs every year is more so an indication of white people (with christian trauma or baggage) trying to “dechristianize” their heritage. in order to do so, they seek out historical revisionism because they don’t wish to face the harsh reality that their cultural heritage (in this instance, the holidays and traditions they love) and christianity are intrinsically interwoven.
so they try very hard to identify themselves with pre-christian “paganism.” the problem being almost everything we know about pre-christian “pagan” belief is told through a Christian perspective and certainly distorted. The material evidence for a lot of “pagan” belief is flimsy, at best. and i can sympathize with the frustration and dissociation that someone might have after leaving christianity and still being in a culturally christian dominant society.
